Hi, anyone knows whether the cards are also working in the north?
I think to remember that they don't, but I'm not sure. :-(
Any info would be welcome. Thanx! |

They are prepaid cards for mobile phones. Yes, SIM cards. |

Hi City,
SoEasy SIM cards kind of work in the north. It works where you're close to the border. I got one 2 years ago and it worked pretty much all around in north Nicosia but once you're out of Nicosia (say Kyrenia), it doesn't work. It again works in Famagusta where you're close to the Greek side but it doesn't work outside Famagusta, say in Karpasia. |

| English SIM cards (eg O2) will search for any available networks (eg Turkcell) when the signal for Cyta goes. If I am correct, Cyta won't find the Turkish networks. |

Thanks to all. Good to know.
I know that my german works anyway, but the Cyta one would have been cheaper. :-) |

I think they don't expire anymore. But you have to top them up to sort of activate them again aftre a certain period of time.
It says different here though :-( http://www.soeasy.cyta.com.cy/index-general-uk.htm
The funny thing is that mine works here in Germany as well.... |
