| I was a bit unfair about excluding our Greek Cypriot friends on forum so I created this poll for them. My apologies. |

They want the whole island to themselves and nothing else !
If they could have achieved this with their military might by now they would have.
They have tried everything , Politics , embargo's , Aggresive antagonistic incident's but the last throw of the dice was joining the EU , as if the EU was going to send an army to get Turkey out .
Why don't our fellow Greek Cypriot Brothers ask themselves WHY haven't the international community taken military action against Turkey Yet ? is it because Turkey has a powerfull Army or is the real reason that they DO blame Greece and the Greek cypriots for the current situation , well if it was the first reason then i think that after 33 years they should have got themselves ready with all the world's army at their disposal. |

I can't vote as none of the options presented here represent my views. You should always have a "none of the above" when doing polls just in case you forgot something. I'll respond to your post with a dedicated topic soon.
As for 100%cypriot's post I will respond to your melodrama soon also. |

Quote: I am ready to reunite with my Turkish Cypriot brethren right now. Every Non Cyp off my island.
... a loaded question, having this second part.
Reaffirming to me personally, that I am Cypriot, before I am Greek. |

100%cypriot...

Unlike Turkey that wanted the whole of Turkey and the land of a few other dozen countries. Even as we speak Turkey has her gypsies desecrating Cypriot soil with Turkish Cypriot stamp and approval.
Quote: If they could have achieved this with their military might by now they would have.
You seemingly approve of Turkey invading and capturing others but are surprised that Cypriots might have used force to liberate their own territory?
Quote: They have tried everything , Politics , embargo's ,
Embargo? Pull the other one…
Quote: Aggresive antagonistic incident's but the last throw of the dice was joining the EU , as if the EU was going to send an army to get Turkey out .
In a very short period of time, perhaps even before the end of this year, Turkey’s EU accession process will terminate. Do you honestly think that Turkey will be able to continue justifying occupation of EU soil given that she failed miserably to prove to Europe that she is a civilized country and of good intentions? Will Europe continue to look at Turkey in the same light once the chances of any partnership has diminished?
Think again... or is it by any accident that one country after the other are slowly but surely isolating Turkey with old wounds from the past such as Armenia? Why on earth would they suddenly dig up Armenia if there was no hidden agenda for Turkey?
Quote: Why don't our fellow Greek Cypriot Brothers…
Brothers my ass! When you hoist the flag of the Republic of Cyprus then you can call yourself my brother but for the time being our “brotherhood” is suspended.

Unfortunately, the international community is more interested in what can be gained by siding with one side over the other and not so much in who is the aggressor or the victim. If that were the case then Turkey would’ve been turned into glass a long time ago. The Republic of Cyprus has finally realized this most unfortunate global standing and has since concentrated her efforts in becoming indispensable to those that matter.
I have complete faith that Cyprus under the DIKO+AKEL amalgamation (announced renewed yet again this week), the sheer determination and astuteness of the Republic of Cyprus in both her internal and external policies will ensure the continued downfall of Turkey while elevating Cyprus to even greater heights.
This year will be very crucial as the coming Turkish elections will be very decisive in how fast this can be achieved. Clueless fools like your Bananiots and your Alexios, and a few other individuals in constant hibernation around here, think we need Erdogan for a better chance to a “solution” to Cyprus but nothing could be further from the truth...
There is only one way for Turkey and that is down… thanks to Turkey’s hard liners poised to take over the reigns and the Republic of Cyprus you can be sure will do EVERYTHING in its “tiny” power so that it comes to pass. |

Why do you keep bringing Turkey and its eu asperations into this ?
None of you will ever shoulder the blame for the situation in cyprus, you and your people will never learn from your mistakes and that is why there is no solution in cyprus.
I do admire you knowledge on the subject but you intelligence allways gets wiped away with your aggressive nationalistic propaganda and you wait for the Turkish army to leave OUR country ! |

| GR, I am tempted to answer back to you in the same manner that you write, but i will resist the temptation. I think we are both young enough to see the end of this story. I am certain that in 15-20 years time when the North will in essence be nothing more and nothing less than a Turkish province, people like you will blame the few fools like Bananiot and myself for actually reversing the natural selection process.....I will lay back and take the blame, since i am constantly hibernating...What will you do though..i am really curious...ofcourse i forgot..Pali me chronia me kairous... |

Anyway what I said was something like none of the options reflects what Greek Cypriots want, I think...so voted for the last one as a dummy.
If we say we want a solution that respects human rights, you will reply we want domination, just like you did in similar thread previously so I don't think there is any point to this thread |

Alexios, I'm sure that in real life you're a REAL nice guy but you ain't no strategist and you wouldn't make much of a politician... :)

| I guess I will have to keep repeating this till the cows (or donkeys!!!) come home...The only way we will avoid Partition, or worse Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus becoming a province of Turkey, is for the Republic of Cyprus to actively encourage Turkish Cypriots to settle in the South, and exercise their rights under the 1960 constitution (with changes to reflect the max number of Turkish Cypriots expected)...Cyprus has one legal entity and that is the one signed by all parties in 1960.That constitution is used by Tpapa to run Cyprus for all Cypriots. It is almost too late ,but he can still try to put that agreement into operation and pull the carpet from under Turkey.Nothing else will do.And I am getting used to this idea that I will die in exile, wondering if there could ever be another nation as stupid as the Cypriot nation, for allowing themselves to be taken for suckers for soooo looooong!.. |
