This is what Ingmar Carlson, Consul of Sweden to Turkey had to say in Istanbul, during the promostion of his book titled "Europe and Turkey".

"Turkey, he said, has done everything in her power for a solution but the Cypriot President Papadopoulos is a person who in the past cooperated quite happily with terrorists and the coupists. He also had deals with a bank that cooperated with the Serb leader".

The Cypriot Ambassador to Stockholm, who was in the room, stood up and said that all these allegations were highly offensive for the Cypriot President. Carlson answered simply that all that he said are truths beyond doubt and are well substantiated.

The whole international community feels just like Carlson about Papadopoulos. He is faced like a discretited cheat and the sooner he goes the better for Cyprus.

Poor old Kifeas has pinned his hopes for returning to his legitimate place of birth on Papadopoulos. Instead of feeling sorry for me (and some others) he better start feeling sorry for the whole of Cyprus.

Rubbish, only for low IQ people’s consumption! Who cares what the Swedish consular in Turkey (!) thinks, …or that he thinks this or that about Papadopoulos. What is his evidence of all that he claimed? And so what if it is true? Even so, what difference does this make regarding Papadopoulos decision against Annan plan in the referendum? You have a very childish understanding of politics and diplomacy: he said this about him, …they don’t like him, …they prefer him, ….he said he would do this, but he didn’t, …he is a liar, …he misled the EU, …they were cheated. This is nonsense! The issue is not whether the Swedish consular or Kofi Annan or Verheugen or Tony Blair like Papadopoulos or not, but whether Papadopoulos and the Greek Cypriots made the right decision regarding the Annan plan or not, and whether he had the guts to stand up and defend the well intended and legitimate interests of his country and its people. In the minds of the vast majority of the Greek Cypriots, he did! Who cares what every “gedigelenis” (every joker) thinks or says about him or the Greek Cypriots!

Oh really! I will answer your enlightened reply with the words of your protege (And so what if it is true):

Quote

When they bring me plans from the United Nations for the solution of the Cyprus issue, I will ask: What do the Chinese say about these plans?

Of course the Chinese are not "gentigelenies" (jokers) but serious people and great friends of ours. By the way, what has happened to the 60 million bananas we gave them for their cannons? Have the cannons arrived incognito?
