Germany Minster for the EU said the following in his trip to Turkey a few days ago when Asked about Cyprus/EU!
" We will fail if we cannot achieve a comprehensive settlement on the Cyprus problem. Cyprus should be an EU member state like any other, in peace and UNITED. When you visit the Green Line, you feel like visiting Charlie checkpoint in Berlin in the early 1980s. That is not the KIND of EU that I want to build. We cannot LIVE with a DIVIDED island for long. We should all work for UNIFICATION".
