This is the (strangely under-publicised) new rival to Google Earth:

The 3D view is fantastic (in principle) although it desperately needs data outside the USA; I managed to fly between the chimneys of Battersea Power Station after only two cups of coffee ;)
I would be interested to hear opinions on the age of the maps; Google Earth has just updated its maps (of South London) from - I estimate - summer 2002 to early 2006.
Carpet-chewers will note that Greek names only are used in Northern Cyprus :twisted: |

no wonder that its not so well-known. Even for Germany the aerial views available are very limited :-(
I did not download and install it, hence can not comment on the 3D feature. |
