Many in the EU Right will be increasingly using the Republic of Cyprus as a Shield against Turkey with a view to derailing Turkish Accession to the EU. Right wing political parties in Austria and France are particularly exploiting the Turkeys dirty past among other things.
Everyone wants to see whether this will materialize into a veto since they now understand that the Republic of Cyprus is not a stupid as Papadopoulos looks.
Who will launch a veto? my bets are on Austria!
I have another question : Is a single veto |

| IF these big nations, or ones with a lot of say, wanted justice in Cyprus...we would have had it by now and the occupation would be gone. |

They probably want it, but a) they can't be bothered to really look into it and b) they have enough problems in their own countries :-( |

You are not far wrong,s 300...
But I don't think any of them would actually use their veto when it comes down to it. They are hoping that Cyprus might perhaps. That will suit them fine, but will leave Cyprus with an empty gun facing a wounded grizzly bear.In all honesty I think Papadopoulos is a much more clever politician than most people think. He will not go down that path. |

| Dont froget people, every country that has decided to join the Eu, has eventually joined(with exception to NOrway who decided not to join in the end)....plus, if anything, negotiations will jsut keep on being delayed, i dont think they will ever be vetoed, unless there is a coup or something drastic. |
