Yes Yorgos Dalara has been appointed the new Goodwill Ambassador to the UN and I think this is a great honor bestowed on him:
Dalaras, whose mother was a Greek refugee from Turkey, implored the Greek public to donate, saying that refugees "live with a pain, which as Euripides said is the greatest on earth: the loss of ones homeland. In this way, being children of refugees ourselves, we are doing nothing more today than remembering all of this with two songs."
Oh YES! The loss of ones homeland is truly the greatest pain on EARTH!
Unfortunately I still feel this pain as thou it was only yesterday!

Sure, I'm sure filthy rich Dalaras does nothing else all day long than lament the loss of his land in Turkey... Tzimis Panousis is damn right about Dalaras... |

All I know is 'Greek' Americans dont seem to like Dalaras because a few years ago he stood on stage at an American concert and told the audience the truth about George Bush.
George Dalaras has always done his bit to tell the world the truth about the Cyprus issue. |
