Latest update (curtesy of Karin)

Both Brother and Mooose are lively and sociable, keen to play with our older kittens. They also get on well with our younger dog Rupert, who like to give them a good clean.
Brother is nearly weaned, eating mostly solid foods (chicken, tuna etc) so has gained more weight (450g). Moose still preferes milk, so weaning is slower, he hasn't gained as much weight as is only 306g. He is also sufferinb from diarreah. I am waiting for the vet to get in the kitten worming syrup (has to be ontained in the South) as this is likely to be the cause.
Weaning cats onto solids is a difficult time and they often get stomach upstes. Brother still has not grasped the concept of a litter tray and tends to leave his deposits all over the place.

Some piccies

Brother 'concentrating' (weeing on floor)

Give brother kitten a chance he lost his mummy and daddy then found a better family (karin and erol) and is suffering a little post traumatic stress and will learn soon enough. :D

It is with sadness that I have to report growing concern with mooses' condition.

He has not been eating well since midday today. He is showing no interest in solid foods, and now seems to also be having problems taking forumla feed as well, that he had been taken fine from when he first arrived. We are not entirely sure what the problem is but as soon as he takes some forumla he seems to bring it back through his nose? At this age kittens are so vulnerable and the need for them to gain weight is vital and as such his apparent refusal / inability to take either solid food or formula milk is very worrying. We (well Karin actualy) will be taking him to the vet in the morning and see if they can work out what is going one. Hopefully it is only a temporary 'glitch' and that he will soon be back again eating hungrily and gaining weight as a kitten his age should be but I felt it was necessary to report his current condition.
