Anyone watching the new survivor which has just started?
Its 10 Greek and 10 Turkish players who are competing for a prize of 250.000 Euros.

Apparently there have been a great deal of negative remarks on that show from the Greeks towards the Turks which will inflame the situation and ensure it ends up as one big mess. I hope they prove me wrong and raise above all that crap and become allies not enemies.

Apparently is the right word VP.I SAW the first program of the show and any positive but mostly negative comments were said by both sides...Like all these shows which can be very interesting in psychological terms, at the end everybody fights for himself and the prize money above anything else....

But to state if we lose this competition we will be the disgrace of Greece we will not be able to go home might as well die for losing to the Turks.

Is the sigma still that bad? Seems pretty harsh to me.

I hate these type of cheap shows. They prove nothing of human behavior except that of the producers. Without the possibility of conflict between the contestants the show would not exist. We already have the voyeurs on the forum discussing who is dissing who. If the producers were permitted to supply these people with guns I am sure they would. Last man standing. I say man because women can't shoot straight :wink: :twisted:

And the turkish team said we will not be able to return to Istanbul if we lose to the greeks!!! Come on VP dont attach too much importance to these things..!!!!

I feel that if they had the Greek and Turkish women on one team and the Turkish and Greek men on the other team it would have been a much more interesting program and would have been beneficial in showing how they could work together and that they are so similar etc. etc. etc. and this Turkey Vs Greek thing would not exist.

I agree...it would have encouraged stronger relations to illustrate that Turks and Greeks are stronger when they decide to work together rather than against each other.

Alex I watched the first episode when Maria was eliminated and the comments that came out of the Greek participants mouths were very archaic and insulting so I decided not to watch again. Have they now calmed down?

There is even a Bulgarian Turk in the show. Arzu is from Plovdiv.

Go Arzu! Don't surrender to a bunch of Greek and Turkish loosers. lol

The organizers should have added some Cypriot Turks and Greeks for more flavor.

Hi guys in Amsterdam right now I cant wait to get back to Cyprus to watch a few episodes and then I'll give my views - but in any survivor the two tribes are against eachother so thats not abnormal I suppose that being Greeks on oneside and Turks on the other just exaggerates the idea of the "competition" sounds like an interesting scenario though.

these shows are really stupid.
but obviously people like them !!!!

since they splitted the groups into ethnic groups , it should be expected that they would seek a unifying factor. they should have made mixed teams so as to avoid such stupid comments , and force people to accosiated with team A and team B

70 million turks against 10 million greeks having sms-battles.... poor greeks will have to call 7 times each, to save their national pride :lol: :lol:

the only ones winning from that would be telephone companies. now that i think about it, these guys are the only clever ones $$$$$$$
