STUPID STUPID STUPID! Wasted 5 million dollars for a show! Imagine how many schools/houses they could have built with that in Turkey? Imagine how many hungry people could be fed with that money in Turkey? They could have used the money to invest in electricity in the north, so people don't sit in dark at night.
But noooo..how cares about people? All they care is the "almightly state". The whole world will start recognizing the T R N C now! Who cares if people are hungry, if people in the north live in a third world country without electricity of if the education sucks?
All we need is recognition, recognition is all we need! |

| The cost of 5million USD for 2.5 minutes of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus fame is a bargin in comparison to the exposure that it raised, 203 TV channels all over the world an average cost of avertising is 3500 usd per second making the total value of this exposure 106million USD wow very cheap dont you think, maybe we should repeat it again next time :wink: |

What a waste of money,I say.
I wonder who is going to pay it???
As most things relating to Cyprus,this stunt was for internal consumption only.AKP government seemingly doing something to facilitate recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.The people receiving the awards had no idea who the presenter was.Neither had 95% of the viewers world wide.Ironically,the complaint from the Greek Cypriot Rally Organisation,and the subsequent fine,made sure it became a news item and hence more and more people's attention was drawn to it.When will they all grow up? :evil: |

Turkey knew the consequences BUT went ahead with it:: Remember They are 90 + million BUT that doesn't mean a damn thing when you sign a contract saying that NO Political Status in F1:
BUT remember Turkey also signed the agree cease fire with the UN but still thought it was a joke: Oh Yes I just remember Turkey also signed the one about Cyprus and the Ports BUT with the EU: Maybe the EU might forget about that one:

It is 2006 and this PAST MENTALITY will not work any more: Specially with my mate Bernie and the EU:
I met Bernie when he invited Deep Purple to open the Melbourne F1 and the Malaysian F1 and he like many others know about Cyprus and the misfortunes of many Cypriots:
Maybe next year Turkey might get Ralf to hand out the trophy IF they have money to through away: BUT maybe they have?
They did hire Cherie for the Orams: SO they must have money to throw away:
BUT throw a few dollars into the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and not into a black hole:
