Turkish , Greek and English should be compulsory at ALL schools in Cyprus:
Even now in Australia starting next year 2 language will have to be compulsory from now on:
One will certainly be Chinese OR Vietnamese:
So here is Australia introducing 2 languages and Cyprus you can learn fluent Turkish, Greek and English easily:
MY cousin IN Switzerland speaks Italian, German, French and also his Greek and English:
Hey I want to learn Turkish and surprise everyone next time I am in lapithos having a beer:
Dash speaks Tortoka! What ever that means?
Erolz help me mate!
MY late grandfather spoke very good Turkish and wasn't afraid to speak it:
My mothers mother is Macedonian and they speak the slavic language: Serbs and the Croatians speak it and so do I because my grandmother would always talk to me in that language in Austyralia:
Kakosi? Dobro! Nogou!
Crikey(Thats Aussie Talk like Bonza!)

I totally agree that all children should have the right to an education in their native language.I have no idea whether there is political will in the Republic to provide this, but I'd think there would be practical reasons, like not enough qualified teachers who speak Turkish Cypriot,to make this demand somewhat difficult to meet.

But for me the most important aspect of this report was this:a Turkish Cypriot teachers union based in the North can demonstrate in the South without putting their lives in grave danger. Can you imagine the reverse happening in the North?!?

Wow.. hold your horses. In fact there are lessons open to everyone in the instruction of the Turkish language sponsored completely by the Republic of Cyprus and I know several people that benefit from these.

Before shooting the gun, look through the barrel and see which way you are pointing ;).
