The Cyprus' team didn't look good :-( although I can imagine its not very nice to play in an empty stadium. I don't know why there was no audience in Bratislava... |

| I don't know which was worse.. them playing so bad or them coming home.. bah.. what a pathetic bunch of potato farmers. If they stopped spending so much time in betting houses they might have more time to practice a bit more. |

really?!
my cousin who is about 14 does football training 2hrs a day for 6 days a week for one of the larnaca teams (duno which one, but not anorthosis). He ois really good, but we all think they are overworking the kids and putting a strain on their bodies...hes always tired and we think it has gotto do something with teh football....they will all be zonked out before they can get anywhere near international level!!
still, 6-1 is a bad performance against ANY team. |

| it was like this. Once the slovak team scored half a dozen goals, they got bored and uninterested and decided to go have some beer and spend time with their wives and girlfriends. That left the cypriot team sufficient time to attempt to figure out what 11 of them ought to do with that round thing they were told to kick around. It was a difficult and profound realisation, akin to the enlightenment of the great philosophical visionaries, however they managed to unravel the intricate puzzle and between the three brain cells shared in their collective, put 1 and 1 together and scored a goal. |

probably having the slovaks provide them with several and repetitive examples of 'what must be done' helped them acheive it in the 90 minute ( or so ) duration of the game.
couldn't do it without the slovaks.
anyway, round 2 discussion is open
city will you post the new results? |
