Skyais:(Shotgun Pallet)
Colombos: His grandfather went to sth america so they though he was Christoper Columbus:
Maratheftis?
Papa Shibetos: he was a priest who went shooting:
Postekas?
Marvro Matis: Black Eyes (Too many joints?)
O Mavris: The Black man: You could only see him when he smiled:
O Gassis: Sold Gas:
O Petrelaous: Sold Petrol:
O Papatas: Sold Potatoes:
O Pakistanos: Went to Pakistan once and the named him that:
O Kasapis: his grandfather was a butcher:
IMAGINE if your grandfather was a gynecologist what would they name you?

No, no you've got it all wrong!

kontos = short
Shiloi = lips

Kontoshilo is "short lipped" and we address people like this, those we feel very close to and very loved. It is very affectionate.

I've heard of the word 'Konoshila'....I don't think it's a nice word :(

This is entirely different. It means lazy dog. It is derived from:

Kounos: a dog of mixed pedigree
Shhillos: a dog

Ah thank you Man at long last, you see when my mum and nan were together they would allways talk greek as my nan couldn't speak Turkish and that was her pet name for me

oh yes.. that makes sense... I knew I was missing something, should have gotten the cue when he said it was something to do with his lips
