Hey I wish I could be there you guys BUT count me in next year:
Marina do you know why they call it Lady's Mile Beach?
Because someone said a Lady used to ride her horse along that beach every morning and she was some generals wife so they would close the beach off for her and it was known as Lady's Mile:
Now I wonder why in Frankston in Victoria Australia at Sunny Side Nude Beach they have a place called Wankers Cove?
I sure someone knows!

Right, here is a concrete suggestion:

We meet at Davlos (Kaplica) on Saturday at the small restaurant by the sea. I suggest 17:00 hours but if people want to go earlier (for a swim etc) its fine.

What do you say?

Ive heard dhavlos is great ;)

and my brothers(who are very hard to please) say the sea there was the best sea they have ever swam in!
My family went there a few weeks ago, and apparently, one of the churches(the main one at the back of the village-agios giorgios i think) Is being turned into a taverna/restaurant! My mum got a bit upset, but she said, it is only expected when the people have not got anything else to bring in money.

have a good time guys, i would recomend dhavlos too ;) kantara castle is just behind, if you have onthing to do!

Well, I know the true owner of that restaurant in Davlos and is alive and kicking here in the UK and he is wondering when he will be get the opportunity to go back and reclaim his property and land there.

I haven't been able to go to Cyprus this summer so I won't be able to join you. Hope you all have a good time.

friday is ok too but we d problably have to shift it to later hours (work?). otherwise saturday Around 5-6 sounds is good

Hello all,

Sorry for being so out of it concerning the meeting...I just managed to hook my computer up for internet in Cyprus (using an 56K analogue modem :roll: ) and catching back up with the thread again...Friday, in other words tomorrow, is just fine with me too. However, I realized that my Cypriot driving license has expired. So, would it be possible that someone who is going there could give me a lift?

Erol, you offered to carry people from Ledra if there was a demand, do you think that it would be possible we could make an arrangement so that you could pick me up as well from (anywhere you wish in) Kyrenia on the way to Davlos? Of course, given that you still have empty seats left...Otherwise, I will try to figure something out...

i guess we stick with saturday , 17:00 at dhavlos.

since it is only me and filio from the south , i guess there is no need for you erol to come at the check points. we can both contact bananiot.

besides that bananiot should inform us on where we exactly we are suppossed to meet.

(personally the chances are that i will come with a couple of friends earlier during the day. we ll try to visit also ayios amvrosios, and we should be at dhavlos at 17:00. if anyone is interested you can pm me. i should know for sure tonight)
