Hopefully a picture (editorial copyright free) should appear with this post....

I would like to know how many of you are interested in Motorsport?

I am heavily into Rallying and a little F1.

If you click on the photo you will go to the full size image but I have reduced the resolution on the host site.

i like rallying, F1 pisses me off because it is so boring, but motocross is v exciting

watching Rossi and Gibernau( i think thats how you spell it) for just 1 race is more exciting than the whole of f1s races put together. I kno the rules have changed, but it still seems so predictable...they dont overtake each other enough, whereas with motocross, they overtake at virtually every other corner! :)

rallying is just madness...love it!

dont forget to watch Rally Germany.......www.wrc.com.

On now for full results stage by stage.

Agree re F1.......bring back slim tyres, no traction control, passive gearboxes, and less wings. Then the drivers can drive.

Rallying is excellent, but MotoGP is the best motorsport by far... Rossi is a genius.

F1, well past its sell-by date, I agree with H, take all the aids off and let's see how good they really are.

I am into rally. I've been watching WRC in Cyprus for four of five years now (pictures from 2005, 2004, 2003). I also went to see Troodos Rally once. Unfortunately AA does not share enough information about events that it organizes.

Agree.....but rallying on the island is in disarray over power sharing. No one can agree who runs rallying on the island and the government sports ministry are not helping the cause.

Good to see your photos and albums......some good pictures therein....I am impressed. I like your sense of the "unusual" as well......different .

Which camera do you use?

The Troodos Rally is scheduled for Oct 7-9 this year.......

My personal interest tends to be the PWRC but of course the WRC is so dramatic who could fail to watch with interest.

The current British championships are bringing a few surprises with Group N cars regularly being in the top 10 and often in the top 5. Quite an achievement.

I see Loeb is running away with it in Germany....with Duval hot on his heels......some car that Xsara.

Hoping to be in UK for Wales Rally GB but still not sure whether the team want me over..........watch this space.....

True, but having a power problem should have been a boost for information sharing. The more people know, the more people will come and support the event. I really don't see why they don't use this channel.

Thanks. ;)

Canon 300D aka Digital Rebel. One of the best investments in my life. :)

Thanks for the info. I managed to attend Troodos Rally only last year. I saw a couple of cars in the city and realized that something is going on. I called AA and they provided some limited information. I managed to see only one stage and even that one was briefly as I arrived to the Start at the start. Didn't have any time to find a good spot. Still, glad I made it.

Yeah, and the driver too. Loeb is a very careful driver. He is so careful that it is almost boring to watch him. Rumors are that he will drive a different car next season. If I remember correctly, it was Ford last time I heard. That should be fun to watch. :)

Well, the actual story is that he will drive a Citroen, but run by a pseudo works team......Ford have to have paying drivers as the budget is so tight....

I suspect that if Hirvonen from Finland who is very well funded can raise the dough he will be in the Ford line up. Martin has been tipped to go back but he will want too much money.

Re power sharing in Cyprus......the macho attitude will never allow it...If the Cyprus AA were allowed to get on with it, they could maybe pull it all together. Their biggest problem is money...several Directors are mortgaged to the hilt just trying to keep the Cyprus Rally going as the government are so slow in paying their share.

If you check out the AA website they normally have good info re the Troodos as it a Middle East Championship round and they therefore publish route maps in pdf......if you cant get info send me a pm and I will give u my e mail and send details.

see u on the stages

Dhavlos,

I am able to publish them as editorial copyright free as I am a registered journalist with the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation who are the holders of the copyright and the publishers of the photographs.

I will try and put some of Rally Germany up this evening.

If anyone would like to see photos from each round of the WRC/PWRC then I will get some up...maybe not all at once but over the days/weeks.

Glad you like them.
