Maybe they banned somebody but they kept on registering, so they banned the email address meaning innocent people are locked out.

| I would just add that Virgin sent me by email an unlock code for the payg virgin mobile I bought in the UK, at no cost and from day one of buying it. |

not sure. i always get sony ericsson phones from my greek mobile provider (cosmote)
so would locked phones be phones that have the mobile providers name on the phone (like vodafone in greece)? |

| A locked phone is when you can only use one network provider like 'vodaphone' when unlocked you can use any network provider you want. |
