That part of the country hosts some strange events. On holiday one year I attended the World Bog Snorkelling Championship in Llanwrtyd Wells (as a spectator, not a participant ...)

Or bored with work. When I was working in Crawley the World Marbles Championship was held a few miles away and we entered a team!
(Rather like boxing, there is more than one WMC - the individual championship is being held in the Czech Republic this year). |
