I live in England but know Cyprus fairly well.
I am interested in developing a vineyard either in the Kyrenia mountains or in the more traditional areas in the foothills of Mt Troudos.
This can take the form of an existing vineyard or a new development.
If anybody can offer ideas on location, viability, plans for joint venture I would be pleased to hear from you. |

| not sure about this one...maybe you will need to contact the agricultural ministry for permission/help on developing such a vineyard, also, if you do go north of the border, make sure you get land that is not owned-pre74... |

Crash Test Dummy - not sure what you require when you ask me to contribute. I was waiting for a few replies before answering.
Dhavlos - the ministry move at a snail's pace. I was hoping to find some local experts on this board.
This message was to 'fish' for information. I have basic information and interest and I am willing to invest with the right partner. |

| VoR, firstly welcome to the forum, please ignore Dummy, he's inadvertently confrontational sometimes. I wish you luck in your venture. |

Thanks CTD. I am trying to contact everyone from Wine Societies to the Ministry of Ag but I feel that I am viewed as slightly 'odd'.
I will persist and will be visiting Cyprus soon to make more contacts. Expanding vineyards, possibly in the north (only pre-74 title), can only be good for the economy of Cyprus......also, it may be good for my economy. :D |
