Basically my computer is slow.
I got Ad-Aware Full and BitDefender (the latest anti-virus)
Also got Spybot Search and Destroy.

This screen shot is my computer idleing (sp?) Just Firefox Running

I dont want the usual Windows is crap response
I want to know why my comp is so retarde (first time I have used the word in a real context)
How can I cut back the proccesses?

Thank You Much Please

The screenshot doesn't show a problem - the idle process is taking 95% of resources, so only 5% of CPU is being used :)

However, bdss and vsserv (from their names they would appear to be part of BitDefender) are taking up a shedload of memory, and I suspect that the large instance of svchost is spawned from them ... including all the other bd... files, ~90MB to check viruses in real time!? I suspect that group of processes would also take up a lot of CPU when they get going.

Try removing BitDefender and, if you think real-time AV checking is necessary, replace it with something "lighter". F-Prot is most certainly light; in fact, it uses almost no resources.

I also recommend a full disk defragmentation and a full Registry defragmentation; the second, in particular, can make a huge difference.

Before you do either of those use Crap Cleaner to get rid of temporary files and similar rubbish.
