This is a web page that was created by students in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and have managed to collect real life stories about how they lived happily with their Greek Cypriot friends and neighbours before the troubles and also many photo's of life for the Turkish Cypriot during the bad times (warning some pictures show people in serious distress or corpses of some mass graves) a one sided account but never the less it captures the real human tradegy suffered by the Turkish Cypriot and some shocking pictures of priests actively engaged in the fighting.

this link bro...
i read ALL the stories not just the ones you pointed out.this is quite typical. this is what our education is based.
we first were told:
1. "we are all ppl. we never had anything against each other. Look we used to live together nicely.
BUT THEN
2. they got BAD and started doing this and that .A lot of OUR ppl got hurt and died (you dead uncle? grandfather? missing son?)
(this is where the HORRIBLE pictures come in with naked kid running in the streets crying, women in rugs and tears, soldiers ,bombarded houses)
3. SO today we are refugees for all these year we cant return to our houses, they took our land ,HORROR, the tragic unfairness!! ALL we are asking for is back what is rightfully ours .Nothing more..boo hoo hooo..and they refuse to give it to us !"
And then you are left on your own to decide..

i didn't enjoy reading this link cause it reminded me of how some are still pulling two opposite sides of the rope and its not leading anywhere.

You are right filio and there is still many pulling from both sides in two different directions but then there is people like US from both sides that are all pulling in the same direction, time will tell who will be successful in either healing our island or hurting it more.
