The day after the meet up some of us got together for a trip to the British museum which is about 5 mins walk from 'Tottenham court road' underground station.

The usual suspects attended; City, Filio, CY, mrs brother and myself and of course we bought along the youngsters too miss brother and master brother.

All very interesting and then we got to level 6 room 73 which was about cyprus and there was many fascinating objects of interest but what got my attention the most was that the museum refered to the artifacts and its people as 'cypriots' only and not a word about that united Greek or Turkish with the cypriot part, there was items on display that were referenced to the Greek era or the Ottoman era but that was it, anyway very worth while a visit.

Also for those that have never been it is free to enter like most museums in London.

Brother mu, only in Cyprus do we assist other nations to take our artifacts, our history, our culture, our religion, our language, our land, our people - and claim them as theirs. Only in Cyprus.

It was a nice day out :-)
I'm still adamant that brother's little boy is going to to school and write a story about seeing King Kong's door in the British Museum rather than an ancient syrian (i think) artifact! Heh

Be glad that we didn't go. People were queuing for about 2 hrs to see the dinosaur exhibition in the National History Museum when we went on Monday....
