Hi to all, this is my first post on talk Cyprus and i'm delighted to find this site, i'm the granddaughter of Cyproits that all left different parts of cyprus when they where teenagers to strive for a better life in the UK, now my husband Bavlos and i have moved to Australia to do the same!
Sadly we haven't been able to do regular visits to Cyprus with our 4 children cos of distance, time and costs but we try to keep our heritage alive!
You may be wondering why i'm waffling about all this with the subject on loukanika and pastoulma, good question!! well we are thinking on enbarking into a cypriot restaurant here in Oz, there are no authentic Cypriot rests here and not many Greek ones either, but i want to do it justice so i want to learn how to make our delicious sausages as we can't get hold of them here...if anyone can help i'd be overjoyed..
Any other traditional meal suggestions would be welcomed, of course we will do the obvious magaronia dou fourno, mousaka, kioftethes, koubebia, dips etc, but still each village and region has dishes unique to them so i'm interested to learn,
Thanks for reading, yassas!

Thank you so much brother, i've printed off the loukaniko recipe...the pastoulma ones were useful but don't instruct on how to actually make the sausage, so if anyone knows i'd be truely thankful..
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, it's good to be here amongst you all...BTW i'm in west australia.
Oh boy did we all freak when Marcos got to the finals ...felt so proud, think all of australia was behind him too!!
