|
|
| Guys, I need some help. Yesterday morning I logged on on my laptop, opened some mail and began receiving Falcon Spyware detection pop-ups. Soon I saw an SF icon on my desktop. I remeoved the program from the "remove, add programs menu but it regenerated itself. This morning I tried logging on on the laptop to no avail. What happened? What advice can you guys send my way? |

Tufan this is what you need to do and explained through the link i have supplied, this will enable you to open your laptop, use the instructions according to what operating system you are using e.g ME, XP etc.
http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml
once that is done we can work on cleaning your PC up, that part is easy. |

| ok Bro. I got to start in the safe mode, i went to control panel and removed the falcon spyware. I also want to delete Quick time player but it wont go. I think it's lodged itself in into that program. Should I press "Uninstall Everything"? If I do this it will uninstall the system extentions. It says"not recomended". |

Don't uninstall 'quick time player' as that is a good program to have and i have it too.
Now i need to know what anti virus program you have?
Then we will proceed. |

first off, download this....
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,22262,00.asp (spyware remover)
run it, then re-run it again afterwards.
Also check this out
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic43659.html (how to get rid of falcon spyware)
Then download and run this....
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/stinger.htm (trojan remover, do it for the hell of it, as a safety measure). |

That is not a good anti-virus program and you need to consider installing either Norton or symnatec as they would have caught this well in advance. |
