this idea of a "european solution" became a fashion lately, and for me it is kind of too vague what do people actually mean by that. whats for sure is that we support such a step (EU involvement , inclusion of EU laws and principles in a new cypriot Constitution etc) while the Turkish Cypriots , and turkey are against it.

my question is :

what do we expect to get from a european solution ? free movement of people , capital, labor, etc...human rights ,... or are is it a cunning way to try to weaken the bikomunal rights of Turkish Cypriots ?

what are the Turkish Cypriots and turkey so afraid of application of EU laws in any new solution? assuming that the communal rights will not be challenged, what other EU law or principle should be avoided to be included in any future cyprus solution proposal ?

Simple:
It is NOW a European Solution because Cyprus is part of the EU and Turkey wants to be part of the EU:
Also in the EU no walls, no division and no discrimination and all one race:

I also think it is rather unclear what people mean by "european solution" - possibly everyone has their own definition of it...

I assume it means full freedom of movement, settlement and investment.

However, it does not mean 'one man one vote'.

This is the million dollar question, cypze, and at that price the answer would be cheap.
