I decided to try signing up for the free one month trial of this
http://www.hitslink.com/
Basically produces all sorts of stats about the site usage. There is not much info yet as I only signed up yesterday and until just now I had only put the code into the 'main forum' html code (front page) and not into the viewforum and viewtopic pages. I have added these now. Still I thought even with such a small data sample it might interest some people. So here are some of the results. All the pie charts are 'for the week' but thats only about 1.5 days as thats how long I have been using it.
Browers version used by visitors to site
Language settings used by visitors to site
OS versions used
Screen resolutions used
Traffic History for 8/23/2005 5:00 AM to 8/24/2005 4:00 AM
I'll try and do some periodic updates through the month for this last one but by days rather than by hour for single day. Hopefully we will be able to see the growth :) |

Yeah I though so - unfortunately we only have this for a month :(
I can't really afford / justify the cost after the free trial period. Still interesting whilst it lasts. |

To be honest I am not entierly sure. I think they are GMT+2hours (not BST+2 hours) |

No it's the number of 'page hits' - how many times the page has been served to a user of the site. Everytime you refresh the index page (not from local cache) it counts as a 'page hit'
At least I think thats what it means. This stuff is all new to me as well :) |
