hello everyone,
I don't know if this already exists but i was thinking would you think it would be a good idea to have a TALKCYPRUS library. To specify, a permanent thread that will be dedicated to suggestion,opinions and overviews even reviews on books, relevant to issues discussed on the forum or not, books from Turkish/Greek/Cypriot/other authors. i think it would be interesting and helpful. what do we think? if this already exists then "oops".

Hi Filio, it kind of already exists within the 'Entertainment' section. I've written a couple of reviews of books:

| This is a good idea. Moose, can we get a more formal section for this? We could call it 'TalkCyprus Resources on Cyprus Problem" and list all the books and websites on Cyprus Problem along with forum members' comments? |

hey moose,
yes that's what i noticed but exactly because they always led to other conversations i thought having a story-free thread just for books would be a good idea. plus we could create a list/library somewhere with overview references from this thread. |

Perhaps we could just create a 'sticky' thread in the Cyprus Problem Resources section, headed 'Useful books and articles'. We could then post any book reviews, or links to articles in this? What do you think? Of course, discussions of the content of these reviews would be acceptable, but any chit-chat should be edited out and that would be the mods responsibility to do this.
I'm just not sure that a 'Books' section alone will attract much traffic.
Is this the kind of thing you were thinking of Filio mou? |
