My cousins tried this once, but it didnt work even with match sticks. They seemed to be too heavy for the flies. So we added more flies but still it didnt work. It was messy and we got glue everywhere.

we didnt hurt the flies, we let them go afterwards. I think one of them lost a wing or two.
