Since today it's time for Superbowl XL, I thought I'd offer my prediction for the game score...
I reckon it will be Seahawks 27, Steelers 17
GO SEATTLE!!!!!

Sorry Moose.
It will be a tighter game than that. I say 21 Pitt 17 Seattle. Seattle is not going to be able to stop Jerome Bettes aka "The Bus".
GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) |

Have to say, I did catch some of the lingerie bowl a couple of years ago and it was actually better than the game itself... however, since my team (Seattle) are playing this year, no distractions allowed...
GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!
P.S. Tufan, even if the Steelers do win, I won't be too gutted, I've got huge respect for Bill Cowher so I'd be happy to see him achieve what he deserves... I just hope he achieves it next year though ;) |

Who performs in the show during the break?
Thats usually the only reason why I watch the Superbowl :-) |

It's the Rolling Stones this year... pregame entertainment provided by Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin. Apparently a lot of people in Detroit are annoyed that the city's Motown heritage isn't being honoured during the half-time show, so they added Stevie Wonder to calm these folks down. I always miss the halftime show anyway, it's all too glitzy for me... prefer just watching the game. For me, the ideal would be to have the lingerie bowl at halftime... but, in conservative America, I can't see that happening anytime soon... |

I have tremendous respect for him as well. Even though the Dallas Cowboys (my fave team) and the Steelers have been traditional foes.
@ City,
I don't know who's gonna have a "wardrobe malfunction" at half time today.
I really enjoy the new commercials as well. 8) |

Seriously hope it's none of The Rolling Stones... given that I'm sick with a serious cold at the moment, I'm not sure I could take seeing that many wrinkles after midnight...

Unfortunately, we don't get the US commercials, they cut back to the UK presentation team at halftime, so all we get is to see the show... |

Scary thought  Wish Angie Harmon could have a wardrobe malfunction. I met her the other day as she walked us through her house which is for sale. Sh'e just as hot live, as she is in pictures. 8) Wish ya could have been there Moose. |

:D :D :D who knows. That would certainly make the whole event more interesting. The Stones will definitely not make me staying awake tonight.
I find the game weird as they have so many interruptions... it's not really a game imo when you have to stop every few seconds.... |

hm.... I've seen the Superbowl 4 or 5 times now and it doesn't grow on me at all. :-)
I rather watch a good Rugby game or soccer instead. |

City mou, 'stuffy' means 'staid' or 'set in your ways' in this context... but it can be said in a jokey way, which is how Tufan meant it...
As for American Football, I went to a school where football (soccer) was banned, we could only play rugby, cricket, tennis or field hockey, so tag-American Football was the game of choice at breaktimes. I've watched every Superbowl since the mighty Chicago Bears trounced New England back in Superbowl XX, so this is my twentieth anniversary coming up.
City, you're right in that the game is stop-start, but once you fully understand it, it's an awesome spectacle. I've been to a few games when I've been over in the US and you tend to spend the time between plays either discussing what happened with those around you, or going and buying more hotdogs.
Finally, Tufan... I am soooooooooo jealous that you got to meet the lovely Angie Harmon who is without doubt dreamy... I'm also very disappointed that you didn't give me enough notice to fly to Dallas and be part of your team for the day... grrr... for those of you who don't know who she is, here's a pic of her looking very Texan...
