No, this thread should not be erased. Why? Its pure advise as Xenos said.

since it already looks to me as it might be difficult to agree on a rule I suggest a compromise in the form that people who would like to advertise their companies services may place a post in 'Marketplace', describing their services or whatever and place the link to their website there. This thread will be locked and thats it. So the advert is there and whoever is interested can PM the poster for further info.

No ads in the profile, in the signature or in the middle of a conversation...
