OK done
for info
R N C is replaced with Republic of Northern Cyprus. I tend to use this one, to try and not 'upset' any compatriots who think if I use T R N C I am saying (part of) Cyprus is Turkish. |

Perhaps we should have the following abbreviations as well:
HRSC = Hellenic Republic of South Cyprus (for Bananiot)
HRWC = Hellenic Republic of Whole Cyprus (for Kifeas)
BPD = British Protectorate of Dhekelia (for Moosey)
BPA = British Protectorate of Akrotiri (again, for Moosey)

| if the T R N C abbreviation is to be removed due to the pressure of the greek lobby groups in the forum, i insist and i believe it is only fair that the R o C abbreviation is removed as well, because I do not want it to display as the Republic of Cyprus everytime i type r o c, as if I give to it so much importance. |

Er no one is asking for any of these to be removed ? Or were you joking ?
I _choose_ to use Republic of Northern Cyprus rather than Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, because in the past some people have claimed that by using Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus I am saying that I think part of Cyprus is Turkish and belongs to Turkey - which is not what I am saying. So to avoid this possible 'misinterpretation' I stared to use Republic of Northern Cyprus. By choice. Others may choose any lable they prefer. |

I was expecting an overreaction from the side of Greek Cypriots but clearly all is calm for now. Effectivelly the "t r n c" expressions in their posts have all been replaced with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, with nice capital letters, and I thought they would protest to that. |

that means, there is nothing thats "sticks" on us. it will take much more efforst to get us pissed  (even though that doesnt apply to all of us, if we want to be honest)

no it wasnt I just though it would be only fair the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is displayed in the same way the Republic of Cyprus is.
I though it was unfair that Greek Cypriots could rights t r n c, with small insignificant letters, and i could not write r o c with small letters to retaliate ;-) |
