I dont know if this should go here, but i suppose it acn be moved if neccesary.
What do people feel are the attribute of being cypriot? We are often told about our differences, and it is these things that tend to divide us on certain issues, but what are the attributes/personality traits consistent with all/most cypriots?
EG. the english are famous for their reserved nature(even tho this is disputable!), the germans are known as beer-guzzlers/bratworst-eaters. etc...
Cypriots are famously hospitable....what else :?: :?: :?: |

A cypriot.
First thing that comes to mind is hospitality – try going to a Cypriot’s house and not eating something.
Someone who likes – hellim/halloumi, molihia, koliandro.
Or Someone who grows vines, jasmines and figs in his back-garden in rainy London.
Anybody who drives miles n miles to buy quality charcoal in Haringey.
Someone who wants peace in their home country. |

Spot on gabs but you forgot;
Can't talk without shouting
Every conversation ends with an arguement
We know best
Dramatises everything

| When I first moved in with my wife and heard her talking on the phone to friends back in Cyprus, I was certain that everytime she spoke to people she was having a big argument with them... it took me a while to appreciate that whenever she switches to Greek, her voice goes up by 100%... vive la difference culturale :D |

| And then you realised that when we do actually argue our voices go up by 500% :lol: :lol: :lol: |
