Dear cybezokili,
I appreciate your eagerness to move my announcement from the announcements section to the CyprusMarket section(!!!!) but to tell you the truth I beleive you should first think before acting. This is simply an announcement that simply aims at be seen by people. Its not insulting its not bothering in this respect. You could at least leave it there for a couple of days and then delete it to satisfy your deleting needs. |

| Quadratic, please do not make duplicate posts in future. This one can remain, but duplicate posts across sections are considered to be spam and violate the rules of the forum. Thank you. |

Hi quadratic,
it was me who dealt with your posts. I will take the time and explain my actions to you.
You posted the same announcement three times:
1. in "Announcements". I have removed it from there as this section is clearly dedicated for Messages from the forum Administrators.
2. in "Learning Greek and Turkish". I left it untouched.
3. in "Cyprus Problem". I moved it to MarketPlace as thats where it belongs.
Let me tell you something as well: this forum gives you the opportunity to post your announcement and I don't think the tone and words of your reply to a moderators action were appropriate. I assure you that I have been thinking before acting and I don't see any mistake in my actions. Your announcement is still there (twice) to be seen by people. |

City, it seems you did not understand my point. My post was NOT a discussion topic it was an announcement for the single and only reason to be seen by people. It was not an Ad, and a bicommunal forum like this should in fact host it.
In this respect the only way for this to be seen would actually be to post it in every section. It would serve fine the scope of a bicommunal forum, and it in my opinion it would not be spam.
You could leave it there for a couple of days and then delete it if you would like to have your forum tidy. |

I fail to see why you're getting hot under the collar about this quadratic. The simple fact is that there isn't a need to cross-post this across the forum as if someone is interested they will read it in whichever section it is posted. Posting it x number of times won't lead to it being read more, in fact it will just serve as an annoyance. If you can't appreciate this, I'm afraid that's an issue for you, not for this forum. In no way is anyone implying that your post isn't a valid subject, but its validity doesn't mean it should get posted everywhere. There are equally valid posts that don't get such treatment. |

| I happen to disagree with you. As for the quoted part that was not intended for you, so I wouldn't expect you to understand what is hidden behind it. |

Your disagreement is noted. Nonetheless, my point remains valid. Good day to you. |

Hi quadratic. I know that and therefore I left 2 of your posts and only removed one. For the reason I stated already. It was in a section that is clearly there for the forums admin to make announcements. I'm sure you will agree that you are not an admin of this forum.

I agree, its not an ad and it perfectly suits the aims of our forum. Hence your posts remains in two sections as it fits in them both. I did that to meet your needs of having it viewed by as many people as possible. However this is usually not the way a forum works. Posting single items more than once is usually considered spamming. As in my opinion your post mentions a very interesting and positive move I made an exception and let it be seen in two sections.

I did leave it, so I don't see your point of criticism here.
kind regards, city |
