This is for my friend Alexios who expressed an interest in our wonderful dialects.
Alexios, so to avoid confusion, Bullika, bulluk, bullik is all from turkmen, it entered the Gibrizlija through the migration of turkmen weavers in the 17th century, it is still used today in southern turkey among the yoruk turkmen of the taurus mountains. bulli on the other hand means bird (plural I think) and comes from cypriot greek. :D

| Boulli (singular, boullia-plural) means bird in general. In Cyprus it also refers to a chicken as short for kotoboullo, which is the proper name for chicken. |

| Yes, but it is used mainly by people that do not feel comfortable to use the real word. |
