Honestly: From what I know, Denktash is in the same category as Grivas and Yiorkatzis, since he is one of the founders and early directors of TMT. If I must place somebody in the same league as Makarios and Clerides, that somebody would be Dr. Fazil Kutsiouk. From what I know, he wasn't part of the TMT (he wasn't even aware of its existence at first). Of course, he collaborated with Denktash and Riza later and co-signed the Turkish Cypriot plan for the partition of Cyprus. But perhaps he was "deceived" into doing this, in the same way Makarios could have been "deceived" by Yiorkatzis and Grivas.

P. S. Regarding my PM to you, please tell me what your intentions are. Me, I intent to fully pursue the person in question, starting by reporting the issue to the police and to the Positive Internet Company who appear to be the ASP of this site.

Respiridus, which person are you intending to report to the police? Are you referring to me by any chance?

As I am sorry that you think this is what I am doing. I am charaterising your approach / perspective as 'bad' (actually as non objective). It was you that used the denfense 'hey I am not as bad as these other people'. For the record I do not think you are a bad person. I think your approach is unbalanced and that is a bad thing for the chances of reconcillation, as far as it is typical of Greek Cypriot in general. I hope this is now clearer.

Was Makarios, TP and Clerides unaware and uninvolved in the setting up of the clandestine and illegal organisation know as Akritas? An orginasation whose stated objectives were illegality and deception to the rest of the world of this illegailty?

I have made my intentions clear in the split off thread. I have made a judgement, as I am required to do as an admin of the forum, that Kifeas posts is unacceptable as per the forums rules. I am currently giving him a chance to voluntarily ammend his post and made clear what action I will take if he choses not to do this.

If you feel this action is not sufficent and wish to persue legal proceeding against either Kifeas, myself or the Positive Internet company (who are the hosters of this site) then that is totaly you right to do so - though it seems a little be disproportionate to me as a respinse to someone calling you an idiot on an online forum.

If you need any contact details for either myself or the positive inbternet company, then I am happy to provide them. The people who run the Positive Internet company are good friends of mine (as well as tennants). I can give you the name of the relevant person to speak to there if you wish.

My intention is to have Kifeas remove the message in which he has personally insulted me. If he fails to do so then, yes, my intention is to ask my lawyer to prosecute him. In that case, I will need your or PIC's assistance in order to have the police find out who he is. I'd like to thank you for offering such assistance, by the way. :-D

You seem to have misunderstood what it is that I have offered you. I have offered you contact details at the positive internet company. I have not offered you private and confidential imformation about the poster Kifeas that I am party to, for to do so would in itself be illegal (at least in the UK under thioer data protection rules).

If I recieve a court order requesting such information, form a competent body with jurisdiction, I will then take my own legal advise and decide if I will comply with the request or not, at that time. I can also assure that Posi would also require such a court order before divulging private and confidentail information on any third party. There are some web hosting companies in the UK that would simply demand that I remove the offending post from my forum or get cut off from their service entirely, simply to avoid any possible liabilty they might have themselves and as the 'easiest' solution for them commercially, reagrdless of any infringment of peoples right to free speech. The Positive Internet company is NOT one of these web hosting companies, I can assure you. They have been here before. The company is run by people with a very strong views on such issues and for whom monetary profit is not the sole reason to be in business.

In a way I am tempted to leave the post and not even move it to the quarantine section of the forum, as per the forum rules, just because such a multi jusrisdiction case such as the one you are contemplating would be a facsinating test case. Plantif in the Republic of Cyprus, forum owner in the Republic of Northern Cyprus, web hoster in the UK. Fascinating. However I will not do so. If kifeas does not voluntarily edit his post to be in line with the forum rules (as I judge them) then I will move the post to quarantine area and there it will remain until it is edited such that it does not breach the forum rules.

Oh dear :( Again Kifeas this would appear to be a breach of the forum rules, as I assess them, and thus this post too will be moved to the quarantine section fo the forum in due course, if you do not wish to edit it. In the UK going to the police would be of no value in such a case. In the UK libel/slander are _civil_ actions not criminal actions. The police (or the crown prosecution services) do not persue civil actions. They persue criminal actions. At least that's my non expert understanding.

My lawyer is also a good personal friend of mine. If you fail to remove your insults (idiot, pathetic), I will ask him to send a nice letter to you, and we will proceed from there.

Er what are you talking about?

Boomer has accused PAul of being in breach of the rules of the forum for posting as another user (and is using this as the reason why his insults against PAul should be deemed acceptable and not 'quarantined').

I have said that I have investigated this claim and can not find sufficent evidence to support it, on the balance of probability and that even if I did that would not excuse the personal insult. I would do EXACTLY the same if such allegations were made against you and still insist that however likely the accusations are, on the information I have available, it would not excuse personal insults against you.

I have treated the insult by Boomer to PAul in EXACTLY the same way as I have treated the insults by Kifeas against you. Namely to ask that the original poster voluantarily edits the posts concerened and if they do not having been geiven some time to do so the post will be quarantined. I am doing my utmost to be as fair as I can to ALL parties and one could argue that your accusation that I have not done so is in itself slanderous.
