In reality will there ever be 'solution' that wil sufice for all people?
I want to elaborate more but I dont have time. Just want to see what you people think.
Sadly I think not, mainly because as times pass there is a huge information loss. I also think as far as Greek Cypriot's go they dont really care, and if they do its not for the right reasons. |

| NO so that is why everyone has to make some sacrifices for all the damn mistakes we made: And when I say everyone I don't mean Greek?Cypriots and Turkish? Cypriots I also mean Greece, Turkey and Britain as well: BUT IF common sense prevails there will be a solution that nearly Satisfies everyone: The BIGGEST STUMBLING BLOCK is the land ISSUE: All the rest can be solved around a table talking honestly as equals: |

I reply to this post in a non-political nut more social point of view.

No, a solution will never meet the requirement of ALL people. But the key words here are majority and long-term.

I think many Greek Cypriots feel they have little to gain, other that the public feeling of security and the satisfaction of a problem solved.
Turkish Cypriots on the other hand have, on top of that, a lot more practical and essential things to gain.
I have only lately started to realize how we (G&T, Cypriots) are so petrified of each other. We navigate our decisions based on a Fear of the “Risk” that we might loose our culture/religion/language/tradition that are so important in Cypriots life. I believe there is never any hatred just this fear. How this fear can be overcome I have no clue but I can say with certainly that the barrier opening was a step in the right direction.
I am hopeful |

Filio this hatred and miss trust is bred by people who have gained from the misfortunes of other in Cyprus: In Australia we live side by side WHY: Because we do not have an identity crisis and do not put religions and language before Citizenship; We are Aussie: What religion and language you speak is up to you:
BUT in Cyprus the first things that have to go are the Flags ONE FLAG ONLY CYPRIOT FLAG:
I am sure if we Can solve the flag issue first the rest Will be easy believe me! |

hey,you think it all comes down to a flag?
I am sorry i cant comment on Australia cause i don't know enough info.
Maybe the identities and cultures in Cyprus and more pronounced or clash more. maybe in Aussie-land there is no fear or risk because its not a big part of ppls lives.
In Cyprus we don't-want/can-not/ and should-not take away the element of the culture or the religions. We just need to highlight the similarities.
And loose that fear:
Greek Cypriots do not wan to "greekify" Turkish Cypriots
and
Turkish Cypriots don't want to "turkify" Greek Cypriots. |

Well the flag to me is the simplest one to agree on:
Its about Turkey kicking a fuss over journalist Freedom of speech: That is an easy one; Tackle the easy hurdles first then try to tackle the big hurdles on we might land with the bar between of legs:

Ofcourse not, even the best solution scenario will only be acceptable to, say, two thirds of each community. We can never hope for unanimous support, and this is natural. Modern democracies require majority support, not unanimous support ... |

with this solution, we need to be as utilitarian as possible. WE need to find : 'the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people'.
The more people are satisfied, the better the solution. |

Well I remember going to the casino in Melbourne Crown and winning the mini jackpot of $5000 Bucks: Across the road there is a brothel called the Daily Planet where the women treat you like Superman:
We went over with my cousin and there were 20 Girls from all over the world working that night: there is a big orgy room called the Roman Room: Motley Cure and Kiss have used it:
I showed all the girls how much money I had: That was my first mistake and they all wanted some happiness: But like you said: My cousin and I had to give the greatest happiness to the greatest number of people: You can not satisfy them all: And guess how many we had that night??
You would not believe it UNLESS YOU WHERE THERE??
IT WAS....Hey wait a second I have to go answer the phone............. |

I think there will always be one side that will lose more and one side that will gain more. This shouldn t be a problem if there is good will on BOTH sides to make it work, unfortuntely recent events and the lack of interest by Papadopoulos prove that there isn t good will on one side. |
