Surely this is a model worthy of consideration for Northern Cyprus, to try to get Gibrizlija on to the net and to get people to use it. At the moment Gibrizlija speakers associate learning how to read and write with Turkish. I believe in cooperation with the EU charter for minority language this should change, what do you think?
Check this article on how linguists have trained speakers of Mexicos minority languages to help them to work independently in their own languages. http://www.sil.org/literacy/tlap.htm |
