Has anybody read this charter before, if so what do they think of it and its purpose?

Its only fair that Gibrizlija be given official status, this is something encouraged by the UN and EU and now considered a basic human right. Turkish Cypriots should demand to make Gibrizlija official, along side Turkish and English. I believe the following paragraph underlines our rights quite clearly

Quote: "Considering that the right to use a regional or minority language in private and public life is an inalienable right conforming to the principles embodied in the United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and according to the spirit of the Council of Europe Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms"

Check out the charter http://conventions.coe.int/Treaty/EN/Treaties/Html/148.htm
