I was not sure where to place this so have put it here for now. It's not really the right section but I was not sure where else to place it.

See here

http://www.visionmatters.co.uk/cyprus/cemflyer.htm

I would like to encourage people to take part themselves and also (or) try and encourage others to do so as well.

Thanks.

You (both of you) can of course still promote the idea to those you know who are in Cyprus at the relevant time and might be interested in helping out ;)

Just a little 'bump' and update for this thread.

The 'clean up the cemetary' effort is on and will take palce on Sunday 11th september (not august as I orginaly miss posted here).

I have had quite good response from people I have invited to come and help, though I am still struggling to get some / more Greek Cypriot to come and join in with the effort (simply because I have less personal contacts in the south than north). I would like this effort to be as bi-communal as possible but even if that fails I still think it will be a worthwhile effort anyway.

Details should you wish to participate or want to encourage someone else to can be found here

just like to say that its individual actions like this that leads us to reconciliation and peace, not the actions of governments.

govts can stick us together but unless we can individually show each other respect, it wont last.

bravo to all concerned.

I trust that you will take some pictures Erol and share it with us here. it would be most interesting.

This topic reminds me of one of my favorite quotes by Margaret Mead:

"Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
