No one had me on their invite list :cry: :cry: :cry:

But I came anyway........

As usual my middle of the road liberalism says, "I understand why there is a new forum" but please don't spoil it with petty anarchistic rowdism.

I enjoy a healthy dialogue on many subjects and think I am capable of listening quietly even though I may not agree with the converser. But I will still respect their view as long as they respect mine.

I wish the forum success.....................Lets see how it goes.

Hi hincyprus and welcome to the forum,

You was on my list like many others but before you came on-line at the forum the Admin/piratis banned me and blocked me from even seeing into the forum and when i tried and got back in under another name as soon as i spoke to someone via PM (he is doing the unthinkable and reading all PM) he banned me again and i have not been able to go on since, but i am glad you found us and if you want make your own list and bring our friends home to the new better forum.

Takes more than an administrator to keep me away......you ask my local muktar. (He's an a.......hole by the way).

Mouse......I want to show my own image as the avatar, how can I do it?

I really dont get the point of banning members in CyprusForum. I am not banned yet though.

H, you need to click on 'profile' at the top of the page...

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should see the 'avatar control panel'.

In the box next to 'link to off-site avatar' you need to enter the url address of the image you want to display as your avatar - remembering that it can only be 120x120 pixels and 12kb large.

Therefore, easiest way is to go to Google, click on images and do a search on the type of avatar you want. In my case, if I'm looking for moose, I typed in moose and was presented with 400,000 images to choose from :shock: . I chose one that was within the limits of the forum. If you like one that's larger, I'm sure if you PM Erol and let him know where it is, he'll be happy to make it smaller and put it in the list of avatars hosted by this site for you to choose.

Once you've chosen your avatar, you need to click on the submit button at the bottom of the profile page and your avatar should sit nicely by your name. :D

Hope this makes some sense anyway.

Just out of curiosity: since it seems that the invitations did not reach you, how did you find us? I was trying to find my way here after I heard of the new forum (but hadn't been provided with the link yet) but did not succeed.

Well City,

You will appreciate that a certain "Dizzy" blonde did what girls do and gave me the run around.......wrong URL but being a tenatious sort of guy and with f....k all else to do.....I played around with her....Sorry, her being the URL and bingo.......

Here I am......trouble is now I have lost all my stars and elitism on the other forum so expect a lot of posts on here as I will lose out whilst away in September...........
