So the real question is what is this known racist doing in cyprus, maybe he is trying to conjure up nationalist feelings perhaps.

Quote: Le Pen, known for advocating strong anti-immigration policies and tough law enforcement policies, is a staunch opponent of Turkish admission to the EU. He has been strongly criticised for his perceived xenophobia and anti-Semitism, a perception stemming from comments he has made and positions he has taken as well as from his acquaintance with former Vichy France and Nazi officials.

I have to say I find this quite encouraging. The reaction he is reported to have recieved is what I would expect to happen in any normal civilised european nation. To be brutaly honest I was not convinced that this was going to be the case when I first heard he was visting the Republic of Cyprus. I am more than happy to be shown to be wrong on this point and I send my warmest regards to those Cypriots that took the time and effort to protest this odious man's presence in Cyprus. Should he ever come to the North (not very likely) they can rest assured that I would do the same myself.
