Hopefully the new initiative starts soon however a key point of the article is the message Ankara is getting from EU ambassadors that the economic assistance to the t/c will split from direct trade,Ankara's proposal for lifting of all economic embargoes on the island will also fall short. Its time for turkey to step to the plate a truly negotiate a settlement that will benefit all parties involved, not turkeys red lines. |

I hope a new initative starts and starts soon. It is already long overdue.
It is time for ALL SIDES to step up tp the plate and truly negotiate a settlement that benefits all parties involved and not their red lines.
The idea that it is only Turkey that is not sincere, that demands unrealistic red lines and the like is not a balanced assment of the senario imo. What you want from Turkey alone I want from Turkey, Republic of Northern Cyprus AND the Republic of Cyprus. Then we have a chance of a settlement. |
