it was posted to me in the same manner and i wouldn't DARE tell anyone to shut up, if you took it even one bit seriously you are way to serious for my liking. didn't mean to offend cannedmouse so i have removed it.
Also, you DO realize it's just makeup and bad language I hope? |

Thats what it indeed meant to me: you were telling cannedmoose to shut up. I'm not all against these kind of things. I only pointed you to the direction that you might need to get to know the people here a bit better before using something like that. Like if you would know me a bit better you maybe would not think I am to serious...

Be sure, I did get the "joke". What I didn't like about it was what stands behind. Plus its a matter of taste.

I agree. andytandreou, on the Cyprus forum we are all 'lower' than the administrator, here it's not erolz's forum, it's everybody's, and that's the hugest point in my view, and I'm pretty sure that the Cyprus forum will never be equipped with this. I (and the vast majority of sane human beings) would prefer to have a friendly but in-depth and 'meaty' debate than listening and reading to racist and extremist members hijacking the place scrawling 'KALOS TOURKOS EINAI NEKROS TOURKOS', 'KILL THE BARBARIC TURKS', 'SLAUGHTER THE GREEDY GREEKS' at every possible chance.
As for the colour, layout, and scheme of the site, this has nothing to do with what we are all here for, is it? The colours used are soft, not over-the-top bright, and neutral colours which actually reflects what most of us want for Cyprus and I like it. Even if I didn't like it I wouldn't be so dumb-minded to let it 'make' me hate the website itself.
I can meet you, however, with what you said about too many pointless forums. There are some forums that are unnecessary and don't reflect Cyprus, but it's not my decision to keep or cancel them. If I don't feel it necessary to write in a certain message board then I don't, just as you and everybody else would do on the Cyprus forum and other forums.
One last thing, to put it in the kindest words possible, if you don't like it here you know where to go. Good night. |

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. The disappointing thing about having many sections is that people get dispersed and lost in the site. We end up talking only to a group of 2 or 3 people and that's a real shame.
As for the logo, erolz, i would love to re-design it but it's really difficult for me to do something like that. As i said the bird holding a branch is old man. We have to get over the "Cyprus is a war-zone" mentality! |

| I didn't see said post, so I can't comment on it... from what other members have said it was offensive towards me and I hope that in the future Andy will rethink his somewhat combative attitude towards other members in this forum who disagree with him... just because I don't like your suggestions doesn't mean I'm attacking you, I don't know you after all... |

it's quoted in the reply below my post which says "censored". Go on... have a look and you'll see that it's just a joke... I stated it was a joke and you shouldn't get offended by it at all moose.
I am a bit shocked as to how well city claims to know you and how you are judging me without even seeing what i posted. You shouldn't allow people to speak on your behalf.
My advice to both of you is to go with the flow next time. A forum encompasses many people with different types of humor and if you don't like something then a simple "that wasn't funny andy" will do. Instead city is claiming to be your internet sole-mate, claiming to know with 100% certainty that you would get offended by what i posted!
I feel very intimidated by this tight-knit group you've created. Things are not like this in CF and come to think of it, I'm not at all happy with either of your comments about me.
I am warning you both, that I will not conform to your "type" of person just to be a part of this forum. I will not end up talking about kittens and Teddy-bears no matter how interesting you find those subjects. NEVER gang up on me again and we will get just along fine!!! Clear? |

Chill out dude, you seem to be 24/7 fired up for an arguement, and no one is ganging up on you, if someone comes on this forum today and insults/makes a bad joke at you many members will tell them they were out of order and that would not be ganging up on them. |

Let me put things in simple terms for you. Since your appearance on this forum, you have insulted the person responsible for creating it; have sought to insult a number of its members, including I presume myself given City's reaction to your censored post; and consistently claimed that CF is a better forum hands-down. These are hardly the actions of someone who wants to be a member of a forum and have constructive debate with its members.
As for your 'warning', I couldn't literally give a flying f**k how you behave, but if you offend me and others without provocation then that's an entirely different matter. You obviously don't pay attention to what's going on in this forum if you think that we only discuss teddy bears or kittens, if you care to digest the more serious side of the forum (which is the area that you claim we should all concentrate on) then you'll see that our topics of discussion are far more diverse and heavy - the general chat section is what it says on the tin - for all other matters.
So, rather than posting glib warnings about people 'ganging up' on you... which to be frank smacks of a touch of paranoia, if you stop offending people and denigrating the forum, there would be no need for anyone to admonish you... I hope this reality will sink in at some point. I don't want you to be 'my type of person', diversity is good... I can't think of a more dull world than one populated by a billion clones of myself. For example, although I disagree with about 75% of what Kifeas writes in here, I still respect him as a person and his right to hold his points of view. You don't seem to be able to grasp that you can disagree with someone and still have friendly banter with them as well...
My attitude towards you depends on your attitude towards me. If you demonstrate that you are prepared to be civil, then I will afford you the same. If not, then I will have nothing further to do with you. There are enough rude people in this world without having to engage in discussion with them in my free internet time as well... good day to you. |

I get defensive when people accuse me of something I don't believe I should be accused of.
