The East in the West (lengthy)
I normally don't have much time for the NYT (although it briefly grew a backbone after Hurricane Katrina and - golly gosh - began to criticise US governance!) but, on the face of it, this is an excellent article about "the current situation" with Turkey, the EU, Cyprus etc.
