Hi all,

I'd need some input from you please! Wink

I'll be getting a new cat

and I need a name for it. Smile Unfortunately I haven't been told whether its a boy or a girl, so I need to provide two names.

For a boy I'd probably go for "Keo" Very Happy as I want it to be somehow related to Cyprus, but for a girl I really have no idea.... maybe "Thisbe" or "Thyme"....... ???
Please help!

The tomcat I already have is called Gismo.

Thank you!

Smile nice idea, but actually I wasn't going to ask here for namesakes.
That tradition should be kept solely for Erolz "emergencies" I believe.

Hi City
Your Gizmo is a lovely boy, the new one is beautiful too. What about Kedi (Turkish for cat) would do for either sex, or there are some nice Turkish girls names eg Ayesha, Sibel, Meral....

Hi City. Welcome back. Great to hear you had a good time in Cyprus.

Karin and myself also love that very last part of the Island. We have stayed for a couple on nights, on several occasions in a place called 'seabird plaj' (I think) that is basically the very last bit of human habitiation after the monestary. It is a simple place with nothing more than a few 'huts' for accomodation really, but we love the unspilt beauty and isolation up there.

Hi Karin, thank you very much for your suggestions. Kedi made it into my top 5, but I haven't decided yet. :-)

I've been there!! We had lunch there in the "Sea bird" restaurant. Was very nice. Great food, very friendly people, amazing view along the coast and down to that little beach.
Unfortunately a busload of british tourists on an excursion arrived there for lunch. Sad So it got a bit noisy. I guess its good money for the restaurant, but still.......
(brave busdriver to come all the way up there, on that road, probably from Kyrenia)

I hope people will find the neccessary balance between developing the area and keep the natures beauty. If they spoil whats still unspoilt till now, the landscape will loose its attractiveness. I hope they don't make the same mistakes like in other parts of the world!
Of course development is much needed, as it felt there like time had stopped 30 years ago, but it needs to be done with great responsibility and tactfulness.

I stayed there too one weekend..very peaceful indeed. I hope it stays that way forever but I just can't see it happenning with all the development.

Welcome back City. Glad to hear you had a good time :)

I like the name Keo if its a boy. If its a girl, I'd go for something like Coco (the clown). It looks like a cheeky little kitten!
