Dear all,
I'm an Undergraduate student currently doing research for my dissertation for Queen Mary's University of London. My title is 'The effect of community organizations on bridging the two sides together' and I need to find people willing to participate in interviews for this project.
All interviews will be kept anonymous and the contents of which will be used solely for the purpose of this research only.
Research is based in Cyprus, until the 10th of September.
You must have been or are currently still a member of a community organization helping to promote peace and understanding.
If you are a willing volunteer, please e-mail me at fa06006@qmul.ac.uk |

Does that include being a member of the 40k strong turkish military in the occupied areas? I mean as far as Turkey is concerned they are there to help 'promote peace' if not understanding as well. Maybe some of our T/C friends here can direct you to a General or something that could help you out with your research. |

| I am soldier in the Cypriot National Guard and I am there to defend the interest of my country, the counter part in the North is the Turkish army which brought peace to Cyprus in 74 after a project called "happy peace operation". Well the Greek army is also promoting peace, we also want to do a "peace operation" in the north. We promote our peaceful intentions through different slogans such as "a good Turk, only a dead turk". In our army we don't have brainwashing, what they tell us must be true. We love peace, just like George Bush does. In the name of freedom and peace we have to kill all Turks, the women the elder and the children...a small parenthesis, it was our mistake in 1974 were succesful in promoting peace only in Tochni, Maratha and Sandalaris. May god bless Cyprus by spreading the death to Turks. |
