Been saying this for a long time. Economic parity will improve chances of a political solution.

Yes dear SP, I fully agree with you that "economic parity will improve chances of a political solution!" Yes, economic parity for all, not just the 100,000 Turkish Cypriots left in the north, but also including all those 180,000 Greek Cypriots (250,000 by now) Greek Cypriot refugees from the north of Cyprus that have been stripped all their property possessions, and most of them remain property-less refugees in settlement camps and Turkish Cypriot houses in various cities of the south!

Yes, economic parity for all, and then a solution! End the Turkish Cypriot isolation and give back the Greek Cypriot refugees all their properties, first and both at the same time, so that chances for a solution to be improved!

For once , it seems , I can agree with Kifeas.

ALL disposesed peoples should be economically satisfied and not made to feel that they are at a disadvantage. Similarly if the "isolation" of the Turkish Cypriot is lifted and if they are able to maximise on their potential and grow as a people and an economy, then the first sentence of this paragraph should be enforced.

However in re-reading Kifeas' post we seem to differ on what should happen first. This makes me feel that an external body is required to help us "solve" our "problem".
