Boys here is what Erodgan said in the Australia newspapers today about attacking and invading Nth Iraq!!
"If Turkey sets its mind on something, whether WRONG or right it will do it. The INVASION of Cyprus in 1974 is a good example," he said, referring to a Turkish invasion of northern Cyprus which drew U.S. condemnation and sanctions.
Mate Action speaks louder than words!
IN 1974 Turkey got the green light from the USA (Kissinger) and Britain and probably Greece and it was all pre-planned in the cold war game BUT now my fine feathered friend it may be a little bit different!
I am sure Erodgan smart arse comments will go down well with the EU!
BUT according to Erodgan the EU needs Turkey and not the other way around!
Dream on!
cheers and I am going to run out of popcorn soon!
PS I thought it was limited peace operation in 1974!
BOY did I get it wrong!.........NOW he tells me it was an Invasion! |

You right Mete: I made a mistake: In the Australian newspaper it said Erdogan BUT I followed it through and it was a Turkish Political Adviser who said it:
What Erdogan did say" The US didn't ask anyone about attacking Iraq so why should we?"
AND threatened to close the US bases in Turkey:
BUT what I think Erdogan should do is NOT threaten the USA it wont work!
cheers
PS Personally I think that Turkey should just sit with the Kurds and give them some sort of autonomy and save the 1000s on both sided who will eventually die!
cheers again! |

100%cypriot forget about Turkey?
Turkey my friend pulls the strings in Cyprus for any solution: Don't think it is Greece or the Republic of Cyprus or even the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus or the UN or EU!
YOU never know Turkey may give Cyprus away to stop a Kurdish Sate from developing:
In politics my Friend EXPECT the UNEXPECTED!
It is a peace mission NOT an Invasion!
cheers
PS and the USA can pull the strings as well and Turkey will dance the Zorba! |
