| and if it was up to you repulse you would want them to go religious so as to be labled another great enemy of the west so as to have a few more allies to fight the JIHAD . this is more about the greeks want turkey to be labled as a religious country that does not allow the freedoms of the west , stop being so naive , turkey is more westernised than most of the EU |

In other words:
1. A country has an organisation which nobody elected but everyone thinks is great.
2. Everyone also agrees that elections are great.
However, the unelected organisation 1 reserves the right to remove the elected organisation 2 if deemed improper.
In other words, election results are respected unless they give the "wrong" result.
!
This seems to turn the past on its head, where revolutions took place to remove such situations; for example, the Glorious Revolution of 1689 which, in effect, reduced the British monarch to a figurehead (with only theoretical power) and prevented their arbitrarily interfering in the affairs of Parliament.
(That Parliamentary elections were grossly unfair in many ways until 1832, at least, is beside the point; at least they took place and the results stuck). |

Quite frankly you presume too much, cent percent.
Sure I hope she wears the headscarf, and the simple reasoning is because I hope for more religious freedom, allowing Orthodox priests to return to their studies, and religious freedom, and education for others, as well, like Armenians and Kurds, in this secular modern State called Turkey. |

I actually agree with that staement above and as much as the millitary is respected they are NOT politicians and have no right to intervene in anything, proper democracy demands that the army does as its told by the democratically elected goverment of the people of Turkey hence if the millitary ever does do another coup that is what will take Turkey back 50 years imo. |

Why does everything have to be an example of "Greek", or Greek Cypriot selfishness? Why do you constantly have to feel that this is paramount to solving a problem which is affecting us all? Somehow this problem is limited to "Greeks" and "Turks" as though we are not people first.

I am your friend , fellow cypriot also but i think the record is scratched because all we seem to be getting is Anti Turkish feeling's all the time and that is counter productive |
