Cypriot Marios Lefkaritis was elected Friday as UEFA`s treasurer, during UEFA`s executive committee meeting in Nyon, Switzerland, under the chairmanship of Michel Platini, who was elected to the presidency at UEFA`s congress in Dusseldorf last month.
Lefkaritis was also appointed as member of the FIFA Executive Committee
So tell me all you wise men out there!
Why didn't they say Greek Cypriot and said Cypriot?
Is it because you are Cypriot when you NOT in Cyprus BUT Greek Cypriot or Turkish Cypriot when you live in Cyprus!

Because Mr Lefkarides was probabaly nominated for the post by the Cypriot FA not by the "Greek-Cypriot FA" or the "Turkish-Cypriot FA"!!!
This would then make him a Cypriot and not a Greek-Cypriot or Turkish-Cypriot.
