only Cyprus seems to have a statue for every single person that was involved in its 40ish year existance.
Tear them all down and put them into storage. Then in 100 years decide who deserves a statue. |

Have you seen it??? It's a monstrosity and does nothing to show what a majestic figure Makarios was (I mean in terms of his physique and his personal aura, not necessarily his beliefs). A life-size marble statue of him would be far more fitting and would make the archbishopric look less like a third-world dictator's palace. |

Maybe the Republic of Cyprus has money to throw away instead of spending it on minor things like Health and Education!
That statue and others like it PLUS that Stupid Flag on the mountain wont solves any problems in Cyprus and wont bring the 2 communities together!
NOW LISTEN!
IF politicians had to BLOODY pay for all this CRAP out of their OWN pockets, the only statue in Cyprus would be the ones the ancient civilization left 2000 years ago and maybe one that King Richard left at Limassol to celebrate his marriage because he never had a Digital Camera!

| i agree to make a new statue to Makarios, put a donkey for the body and his face (this will show his aura and his inside truth) and he will be suitable figure for the Donkey republic flag. |

Hey, I’ve just thought a nice idea for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus flag put a pig body and Dektash head and under him put TPap sitting in a donkey body with Makarios face to pushing him up.
This could also be a very nice statue. |

Personally I always thought it was slightly too big, it over powers everything else around it...I think a smaller size model would be more fitting, and slightly more aesthetically pleasing to the eye...
